It was the end of 2002 and all the signs in heaven and earth pointed
to an unprecedented growth of the mobile telecommunication market. Two years after the turn of the millennium, 36% of Poles had their SIM cards registered and enjoyed the benefits of a personal telephone. This still immature market was developing fast enough to render unfeasible any predictions as to which solution might survive on the market and which might become latent. Some, however, did try and their predictions at the time, reminiscent of science fiction literature, abound in forecasts on the development of the UMTS, WAP, and MMS technologies, or possibilities of introducing innovative 3G solutions. Experts were, however, surprisingly sceptical about the possibilities of introducing new generation mobile telecommunication services in Poland. Looking from today's perspective we can clearly see just how wrong they were.
In the opinion of UKE [Office of Electronic Communications], at the end of third quarter of the year 2013, statistical Pole was in possession of 1.5 SIM card. Market penetration reached 145%, which means that within a decade the business became four times bigger. Today, in addition to the 4G Network, we can use the LTE transfers and several dozen mega file transfers. Times have changed and the statistical resident of our country is fully aware of the possibilities and advantages of owning a cell phone. Furthermore, the world of contemporary mobile solutions has become an entirely new reality. Applications and new generation devices, the so-called smart phones, have considerably expanded the functionality spectrum. Nowadays, due to application of the mobile technology, we are able to control our intelligent houses, use social networks, access our business office, edit documents, manage our bank accounts, and freely access the world of media as and where required. Has the impossible become possible? Oh, yes.
The SMS market is a particularly interesting phenomenon. It has become indispensible. Its popularity does not seem to fade and its reliability, simplicity and incredible possibilities are appreciated not only by consumers but especially
by business people. A few pieces of 2012 data speak for themselves: the total of 52.7 billion text messages with 1381 texts per individual gives the total of over 3.7 texts daily – this is how many text messages we send on a daily basis according to the Office
of Electronic Communications. The market continues to grow; only since 2009,
we have sent nearly 5 billion text messages. Service with a future? Absolutely – text messaging is definitely here to stay.
Possibilities offered by SMS and fields of its application have shown over the recent years just how powerful it is. In the beginning of the 21st century, marketing communication has reached a dead end moving towards contests based on drawing lots and making improper use of the SMS Premium service. Since the beginning
of the SerwerSMS platform, we have strongly emphasised the fairness
of communication and reliability of deliveries realised through our system. Today, we are proud of and we thank our Clients for having confidence in our several hundred million text message traffic. One year after we started our operations,
we were handling under 1% of the current volume – a truly imposing growth. Over decades, we managed to prove our market strength by realizing campaigns for the largest Polish brands. It is not without satisfaction that we say that we also work for many entities from the small and medium-sized companies, which constitute
a considerable group among over nine thousand registered accounts. What is more,
we have observed a considerable interest in text messaging among the Government and Public Administration Units. Since the beginning of our activity we wanted to create a reliable ultra-modern tool which would be unique on the market. Today,
we may proudly say that we have accomplished this goal and that we are one of the leading companies in the SMS marketing sector in Poland. We wish to thank Polish entrepreneurs and institutions which have so far appreciated our activity.
